The Voynich manuscript is a book written in an unknown language; the book was found by Professor Wilfrid Voynich, 

a Polish book dealer and antiquarian, in 1912. It is named after its author and dealer: Wilfrid M. Voynich (1865-1928). 

The book’s precise nature is unknown; it appears to be either a treatise on alchemy, an herbal or a work on astrology.

 No one has been able to decipher the book, including the code breakers of the United States Army in WWII. 

It is currently held at Yale University’s Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library.

2.The message from the Black Knight Satellite was received in 1998 by Dr. John Brandenburg 

who was working on a device called a radio spectrometer when he picked up an unusual signal coming from space,

 it was unlike any other signal ever discovered in space before, leading to speculation that it could be an alien transmission. 

The message contains a mathematical cipher, and is encrypted using radio frequencies that are unique to each part of the transmission.

 It is believed that the satellites contain a message related to the black knight, 

a chess piece symbolising death and judgment found in chess and other games.

 The Toronto Cipher was discovered during an investigation into a murder, 

and has been used as evidence against one man who admits to the crime, but has always maintained his innocence. 

The cipher has made it into the top ten due to the fact that it is still unsolved after 30 years.

4. Linear B script from Crete, Greece is the language used by an unidentified civilization on Crete, 

Greece known as Minoans who ruled between 2800 BC and 1450 BC, Linear B has never been deciphered.

I Ching hexagrams are found in the Book of Changes, this Chinese book is a collection of divination texts,

also known as the I Ching, which is an ancient text from China. The I Ching consists of 64 sections or hexagrams, 

and was written during the time of King Wen and King Wu. The reference to divine order manifests itself in this work. 

In addition to being a source of divination for thousands of years it also includes a framework for understanding experience and development in life.

 The Book of Kells is a codex containing the four Gospels that date back to the early Christian period between 800 and 1000 AD. 

The Book of Kells is famous for its elaborately decorated pages, it contains the most intricate illuminations ever created by Celtic Monks. 

The book measures about 12 inches by 8 3/8 inch. The Book of Kells has been dated back to the year 800 AD.

where it remained until it was taken to Scotland during the Viking invasions at around 850 AD .

9. Enigma Machine is an encryption machine developed in the early 1930s, that was used to encrypt the secret message, 

which was then enciphered into a cipher that could only be read by the right person.

 The Enigma was invented by German cryptographer Lorenz Schlittenhardt in 1918 , 

but had not been adopted by Germany until more modern machines were constructed in 1936.

10. ‘The Goldstone’ Cipher is an encrypted message or any text encoded with a cipher, which has been broken by Guy Lucas. 

A professor of computer science at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 

Lucas developed his system of breaking ciphers with help from software algorithms rather than through brute force techniques.

 The Goldstone is a simple substitution cipher with a transposition layer. The name ‘Goldstone’ was given by Guy Lucas, 

after the American mineral “goldstone”, which is a metamorphic rock composed mostly of quartz, 

with an amount of gold or silver, which varies from none up to semi-opaque nuggets.
