The Golden Globe Awards is a popular event and it happens every year. 

The live updates of the golden globes live blogging awards provide a way for viewers to experience the event without having to watch the show.

The first live red carpet was not a success.

 The first event saw false sightings and poor quality pictures. In a first time effort a lot of people were disappointed that live red carpet reports were so bad.

In the second year, Live from the Hollywood Foreign Press, Kyle Anderson’s mobile phone went off during this segment.

 He thought it was his boss so he told the reporter to continue as though he wasn’t there, but as soon as his boss left, he got up and quickly got out of there without being seen by anyone.

– After weeks of planning, it all comes down to this. Our reporters are at their posts–at the red carpet, in the press room, and in the audience–ready for this year’s Golden Globe Awards. 

As they walk the carpet, they’ll be sending live updates to keep you up to date on who’s arriving, what they’re wearing, and whether or not Angelina Jolie has anything new to say about her divorce.

– We’ll be live blogging the red carpet and the Globes telecast with commentary from awards watchers, A-list guests, and our very own showbiz reporters.

3. The Red Carpet of No Returns

– Last year’s live blog was a big hit with Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) voters, so we’re back again (this time on video!) for this year’s awards ceremony.

6. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA)

– Members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) voted on the winners of the 2011 Golden Globes.

 This will be the HFPA’s 90th anniversary. The ceremony honors achievements in film and television from the last year. 

Members include foreign journalists from around the world, from television networks, from magazines, from newspapers and from online sources.

7. Critics’ Choice Award

– In addition to honoring achievements in film and television for 2011, the Golden Globes also honors achievements in other mediums such as music, theatre and radio.

 This award is called Critics’ Choice Award, and is awarded by members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) to honor achievement in cinema in various categories.

8. The Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture–Drama nominations

– In the drama category, the winner will be selected by a combination of HFPA members and critics appointed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). 

That makes this year’s award more than just another award hoop, because it’s also an award for which you need to play on both sides of the fence.
