There are so many people out there who sell animals and call themselves pet stores. But, I want to warn you… this isn’t the same thing as an actual pet store. The employees of these so-called pet stores don’t really care about your happiness or how much you love your animal. They were only interested in getting a sale, and now they’ve got it. Once they have made the sale, you will never see them again.
What does tbu mean on facebook: TBU will stand for “Take Care” or “Take care of yourself”. If your friend says that to you then it is a friendly way to tell you that they want you to take care but also a way of telling you to go away. It also means “To Be Updated”. TBH stands for “To Be Honest” and TBQH means “To Be Quite Honest”. TTYL stands for “Talk To You Later”.
This is the type of place where you should NEVER buy a pet. You can’t be sure of what you are getting, as far as health and temperament are concerned. These places don’t care about the animals; they care about the money. Some of them might even sell sick animals for profit.
My own first experience with these so-called pet stores was when I was looking for a new hamster to add to my old one’s cage. My old hamster had died a few months before and I had been looking for a new one for quite some time, but none of the pet stores around me carried them.
Here’s What No One Tells You About Pet Stores :
Still, it was the best I had been able to find so far. A woman greeted me when I walked in and asked if she could help me. I told her that I wanted a hamster – a female one, if possible. She looked around behind the counter and brought out an old cage with a male hamster in it and said, “We don’t have any females yet.” I asked her when she thought that they would have some more females, and she said that she wasn’t sure, but to check back in another week or two. I went home and never saw the woman again.
Although laws for selling pets vary from state to state, this is something you should know in advance: buying an animal from a pet store usually means that you are buying from somebody who has no legal responsibility. In other words, if something goes wrong with your animal – and you can sue the breeder for that – you cannot sue the pet store for it, because they have no control over what happens to that animal after it leaves their possession.
Regardless of whether they sell puppies or adult dogs, or even rodents and reptiles, all the animals they sell are held in cramped cages. It’s not as if they forget to feed them or anything like that. The employees just don’t care. This is something else you should know: it’s pretty hard to find a pet store that sells only friendly, non-aggressive animals.
This makes it a very good place for people who have problems with their pets getting along with other animals – especially other dogs – and are looking for an excuse to get rid of them by getting rid of any possible competition for the pet ownership rights.
This might be the most important point in this article. In the event that something happens to your pet while it is still with the store, there’s no guarantee that they will do anything about it. In fact, I can safely say that this is not uncommon, as I’ve experienced it myself and seen many others experience it as well.
Ask any of the people who work there how often they are actually checked up on by a doctor or whether they are fed properly and whatnot. The truth is that they do not give a damn, and they will tell you just that if you ask them. The most common excuse that I have heard when this question comes up is “Well, as long as the animals are eating, we don’t really care.”
You might be surprised to hear this, but in most cases (with the exception of certain pet stores that are actually owned by animal lovers), the pet store owners simply can’t stand their employees. This is another thing that I have experienced being told to me a number of times from a number of different people who work there – but only because I asked them about it.
