Learn from these top minds on reddit

This is a blog post about how to learn from the top minds of reddit . The purpose is to look at how they approach learning and what makes them all successful.

There are many ways in which people learn new skills and knowledge, but this list provides some of the best sites you can visit when trying to improve your own capabilities in a specific area.

These websites will teach you practically anything, from making hummus to building apps in node.js, most of them for free.

Some of the websites below are very new, while others have been around for quite some time.

This list is divided into four sections, with the websites listed in alphabetical order within each section.

Education : General learning resources

Duolingo –

This is your one-stop shop for learning languages online. Duolingo’s method is very different from what you might be used to: instead of translating word-for-word from English to Spanish, the site teaches you how to say specific things in Spanish and then tests you until you’ve mastered everything.

You can even speed it up if you want by paying $9/month or $99/year for a premium account.

This is an extremely comprehensive website which has no affiliation with Khan Academy. It has everything under the sun.

The site is also quite flexible, so you can take courses on anything from “basic algebra” to “machine learning” or even “machine learning for dummies.”

You might not learn as fast as you would on Duolingo (and you will need quite a bit of time) but it has more material than any other website on this list.

Definitely give it a shot if you’re interested in learning about something new – there are over 5000 lectures available now!

MIT OpenCourseWare –

MIT OpenCourseWare calls itself the largest educational project in the world. The website offers free access to over 13,000 courses taught at MIT.

Currently, this is self-paced access, so you’ll have to sit through all the videos yourself. But the content is absolutely worth it. Whether it’s conducting scientific research, learning about high-speed trains or how to manage other people, there’s something for everyone.

TED Talks –

This website has short videos of lectures given by some of the top minds in science, business and technology. As the name implies, TED Talks are all about delivering interesting and inspirational content.

Wikipedia –

It’s no surprise that Wikipedia is on this list, given that it has over 10 billion pageviews per month.

Wikipedia is always growing, but there are still plenty of areas where reviews aren’t up to date. It’s recommended to use a proofreader before submitting anything so you don’t have to sit through rewrites or have your edits strike out by mistake.

You can also request changes here if necessary.
