Using the code tier list: The Alchemist

The alchemist code tier list is a list of the games and software that we regard as being at the highest level of playability. 

A game or tool that meets this criteria is capable of providing the player with an intense competitive experience.

There are some games that are notorious for being on this list — for example, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

 However, there are also plenty that are not as widely known — counter-strike Tactics mode is something to be on the lookout for! 

The alchemist tier list exists purely to provide an objective standard of quality by which to judge many different titles in one place.

The reasoning behind the alchemists tier list is to provide information for people who are looking into making themselves a competitive gamer, or starting out in a particular field of esports.

 In today’s increasingly saturated industry, it can often be a huge challenge to find a title that is actually worth the time invested — the alchemist tier list serves as a clear sign for players to look out for in their journey to success.

The tiering system is based on a rating of 0.5, which means that one rating unit is equal to half a standard deviation from the mean rating. 

For example, if you have two games at rating of 2 and 2.5, then they are one rating unit apart from each other — because one rating unit equals 0.5 standard deviation 5 times out of 10 you will see both games in tournaments with each other. 

This rating system is necessary because the alchemist tier list is based on tournament results. It is up to everyone to decide which rating system to use, but it would be advisable not to use this rating system for any sort of betting or gambling.

The  Alchemist tier list :

1. Heroes of the Storm (Ranked mode) –

It is worth nothing that this game is competitively viable but it is still in open beta, many things can change. 

In addition, as a new player you might not be as good as some players who have been playing since closed beta or alpha, for those reasons it has been given a rating on par with some other games on this list .

 If you want to be successful at this game you should probably consider using a tier 1 strategy .

2. StarCraft 2 (1v1 ladder) –

This game is still played at the highest level, but the decay of its competitive scene is close to being completed. 

The decision to keep it in tier 1 was made because it is still one of the best esports titles to watch and provides competitive opportunities for every type of player.

3. Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft –

Just like StarCraft 2, Hearthstone is a great game to watch and has a solid competitive scene, but it has lost most of its relevance very quickly due to recent developments such as the invitational at Blizzcon 2014 not showcasing any new decks or players, but instead only known decks and players from previous ones .

 In addition, the new expansion Curse of Naxxramas has made its way to the game , introducing solo decks at a professional level.

4. FIFA (Online Seasons) –

This game is making its way up in tier 1 because it has recently introduced its own version of MLG, which lets you take part in an online tournament with cash prizes.

 The only thing holding it back is that it’s not fully developed, many details are still left to be defined (such as segregation between leagues) which means that there isn’t really much competition taking place yet .

5. Dota 2 –

This game is not comparable to other games on the list due to the fact that it does not have a fully worked-out metagame.

 However, it is worth noting that teams are starting to pop up in tournaments in the form of compLexity.Cloud9, Evil Geniuses and Team Dignitas, showing that this title is still viable in the competitive scene .

6. Quake Live (1v1 ladder) –

Q3 was one of the first online games to be released when online gaming was young.

 It has been sunk into obscurity by titles such as Counter Strike: Global Offensive since its development — there are currently no tournaments taking place for this game .

7. Hotline Miami (Normal Mode) –

This game is one of the easiest to play competitively, but also an extremely difficult one to master.

 The game is based around the idea that the player should be challenged, but it does it in a very strange way by increasing the amount of damage that you take by yourself if you take too long to complete a level .
