It can be challenging to find time in your busy schedule to enjoy a movie or catch up on the news, but these 10 films will provide you with all the entertainment you need. They are perfect for marathon watching, so if you want an adrenaline-packed night in, just throw one of these movies on and stick around for some popcorn. Can you breed silvally? You won’t regret it!

Some of these movies are old classics that have been recycled into TV series and still continue to entertain us today. Others are newer releases that put an interesting spin on the genre.

1. The Silence of the Lambs

Clue was one of the first movies I remember watching at a very young age, and my parents tended to watch it at least a few times a month. It is always entertaining, even when you know what’s going to happen. This movie was such an anticipated release that I was pleasantly surprised it didn’t disappoint. “There is no delicate way to say this: A woman has been murdered.” The plot goes on from there… One of my favorite movies of all time!

2. The Wizard of Oz

Who doesn’t love this classic? Even if you’ve never seen the movie or listened to the musical, you know all of the iconic songs. It is known for much more than just its plot though. The original movie is one of the few movies to have an impact on society, and it still has a large following today.

3. The Notebook

One of my favorite old time favorites, The Notebook will put you in a good mood and remind you what it was like to fall in love for the first time. There are not many stories out there with such a perfect ending! If you watch this movie today, it looks pretty silly compared to some of today’s romantic comedy films.

4. The Princess Bride

If you haven’t seen this movie, you are missing out on one of the best family movies of all time. This is another must-see for people who have a passion for old movies and pass up movies like The Lion King and Shrek because they are considered too scary. I would also describe this film as a comedy with adventure and romance, which is something that every family should have in their collection!

5. The Shawshank Redemption

This one takes a while to get into, but once you get past the first 15 minutes or so, it’s an amazing story filled with twists and turns. If you’re not completely sure you want to watch the whole movie, it’s ok to skip parts, but I promise you a second time through the entire movie will be rewarded.

6. The English Patient

This movie has been brought to us on screen before in the film, The English Patient, and it is much better than the film. Although the plot is somewhat different, director Anthony Minghella does a magnificent job of keeping you interested in all of the characters. This is another classic that many tend to overlook. It may not be on the top of your list of movies you have to see, but it’s definitely worth going through at least once!

7. The Dark Knight Rises

Yes, this is a new release and has no plot summary available yet, but I’d highly recommend watching this movie in theaters! The special effects are amazing and Nolan has outdone himself with this third installment of Batman series. If you have not seen this yet, I could not recommend it enough.

8. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

This is another movie that has been released recently and is also available in theaters. This film was long awaited and many people were not pleased with how the third book was turned into a movie, but if you go back and watch Empire Strikes Back, it’s nowhere near as bad. I think Peter Jackson did an amazing job adapting this story for the big screen!

9. The Terminal

This film stars Tom Hanks and turns into a heartwarming story of a man who is stuck in an airport terminal for days and how he manages to survive. This movie is perfect for those nights when you want to stay in and chill out. Tom Hanks plays a complete wacko in this film, but it’s still classic. If you’ve ever wanted to watch a movie where the main character stays in an airport terminal for years, this is the movie for you.

10. Ransom

If you’ve never seen the Godfather series, this is the movie to watch before you go back. This Harrison Ford flick is intriguing and hard to predict. It’s one of the better movies on this list that most people have never seen – mainly because it was released so long ago!

Summary:

By no means are these movies all action-packed, suspenseful, or humor. Binge-watching is not only the best way to get through a long period of time; when you do it right, it’s also fun! I hope these movies came in handy and maybe you can add a few favorites of your own to my list.
