Blogging is a fascinating phenomenon. It’s something so simple, yet does seem to have the power to grow into a business if you take it seriously. You can use blogging as a way to build your authority, create an online community of people who share your interests and become the go-to resource for those looking for information in that niche , blogger outreach strategies are a great way to grow your audience, and bloggers are hungry for that kind of attention. The end result is a blog post being featured in the media or other blog posts linking back to that one post.

5 Lessons That Will Teach You All You Need To Know About Blogging :

1. Know what MATTERS.

If you want to stand out and be the go-to person in your niche, make it matter. Do not just provide general facts or advice. There are so many sources online that people can get information from. Stand out by providing value that is specific to your audience, not just a random blog post on your website.

Remember, you’re not writing a newsletter that needs to be updated at least every month with something new. You are writing blog posts for a digital audience who wants information NOW! No one wants to read something they could have googled for themselves in 30 seconds if they wanted to know about it at all. Think of your readers and what they really want to know and provide that value.

2. Find out WHAT MATTERS.

You can start by asking yourself, “what should my readers know about?” Once you have an idea of a topic you would like to write about, do a little research online and find out what your audience already knows. How much do they already know? What questions have they asked in forums, social media or other online groups? What questions isn’t anyone asking that they should be? Use these answers to guide the content of your blog posts as well as guide which blogger outreach strategies will be most effective at getting in front of the right people through the right channels for their needs.

3. Find out HOW TO MAKE IT MATTERS.

So here’s what you’ve decided to write about, but how do you make it matter? How do you take basic topics and turn them into something that sparks an interest in your readers? First, use the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) principle as much as possible and keep your content short, sweet and to the point of your topic without needing to explain every detail or provide extra fluff to fill up space on a page or an article.

Don’t be a know-it-all and assume that everyone knows everything that you do, everything your audience needs to know is in the title of the article. Second, find a way to relate your topic and make it relatable.

A great example of this is to tell a story. Everyone loves stories they can relate to, so why not put one into the content you are writing? Use it as an anecdotal teaching moment that makes your expertise clear while also teaching at the same time because you’re sharing this story.

4. Blogger Outreach Strategies Are Key

Blogger outreach strategies are crucial if you want to be featured on other blogs or grow your blog audience in any way whatsoever. Think of it this way: your audience has asked you to provide a post on a certain topic, why wouldn’t you do everything in your power to provide them with exactly what they have asked for? Blogging outreach strategies are going to be included in the email that you send out, the first thing they will ask you is if they can write an article about what you have written. You should be able to think of five great blogger outreach strategies immediately!

5. Medium Is Your Friend

If a blogger writes a blog post and brings it over to his or her own website, you can use the medium they used (especially if it is set up nicely) to link back directly from your post to their blog.

This way, a reader of the other blog post can come directly to your site without having to do an extra click. However, don’t let them take credit for the link. Just add a link to their website at the bottom and give them credit for the idea and blog post.

Just because you are building your blog from scratch, doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to use some of these blogger outreach strategies in the beginning stages of your blogging journey. Blogging is a great way to build credibility and authority as well as grow your audience on nearly any topic you choose.
