It’s funny. I always forget what it feels like to be motivated and productive.

 It’s as if I’ve forgotten how to do it over time. But then, I pick up a shopping list and soon enough I’m at the store, 

checking off items as they go into my cart, browsing for something cute

 to wear to dinner with my fiancé tomorrow night because he deserves it too.”

The first step is recognizing that motivation doesn’t exist without effort on your part. 

Motivation is habit-forming – use this insight to create good habits that will promote your productivity!

 The following are some inspired tips from Dr. Wayne Dyer:

“It’s like the saying, ‘The best way to get rid of bad habits is to replace them with good habits.’ The same applies to motivating yourself.

 The first step is realizing that motivation does not exist without effort on your part. 

Motivation is habit-forming, which means you are training yourself to be motivated every day by replacing bad habits with good ones. 

When you are motivated, you are not frustrated or complaining about the situation. 

You are living the moment and resisting the tendency to complain about anything or anyone.”

“Say ‘yes’ to something you really want.” – Dr. Wayne Dyer

The power of “yes” is an amazing motivator and will help you thrive instead of struggling. 

When you start saying “yes” to what you want, it’s easier for your brain to remember what you want and harder to forget it. 

So if you don’t try saying “no” to things that will derail your goals, chances are you’ll find yourself saying yes more often than not.

If love is the answer, can the question be removed? – Dr. Wayne Dyer

The key with motivation can be summed up in one sentence: 

If love is the answer, then any questions that come up along the way are just roadblocks that need clearing. 

The more you tolerate roadblocks and cross them, the easier it becomes to succeed.

 If you need someone else to accomplish something for you, then chances are your brain isn’t working at optimum levels.

“It’s not how good get things done, but the fact that get them done.” – Dr. Wayne Dyer

In other words, do what you have to do that will get it done, not what others expect from you. 

Don’t give up on your dreams because someone else 

doesn’t see your value or believes they might be in a better position than you in doing something. 

Those people are only looking at the situation from their point of view,

 which is why you need to get out of your own head and make something happen.

which exists in an individual who is fully functioning with out expectation.” – Dr. Wayne Dyer

Being joyful and grateful for what you already have is an important part of motivation. 

When you’re thankful for all that you have, it’s easier to focus on meeting the challenges ahead with a positive attitude and spirit. 

So if your goal is to eat healthier and exercise more, 

start by making a list of your current blessings: your health, good looks and great family, for example. You may find that your list is quite long!

And here’s a way to boost your motivation: Post your likes and dislikes on the board so you can see how far short of your goal you are. 

To stay motivated, it’s important to visualize achieving the goal in front of you.

 Seeing how far away it is will help keep you focused on reaching it.
